Job Description

Vretta is seeking a highly detail-oriented Editor to serve as the internal content quality expert across the organization. This full-time, permanent role will ensure high editorial quality across both written and visual elements, identifying not only language issues but also visual inconsistencies such as alignment, spacing, image accuracy, scale, and overall cohesion between design, imagery, and the tone of the content, with a zero-tolerance approach to errors. The Editor will review and refine content across multiple functional areas, ensuring clarity, consistency, and adherence to company style standards.

Key Responsibilities

Proofread and edit content to ensure zero grammatical, spelling, punctuation, and language errors Act as the internal content reviewer for assessments, blog posts, marketing materials and articles, presentation decks, other content projects Ensure consistency of tone, terminology, and style across all content Provide overall content quality assurance, combining proofreading, editing, and QA functions Review content produced across various functional areas, including marketing and instructional design Contribute to and maintain company-wide style guides Support content projects by reviewing, refining, and occasionally developing written passages Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve clarity and quality of written materials

Requirements

Strong proficiency in English (written and verbal) Exceptional attention to detail with a strong focus on language accuracy Ability to maintain consistency and quality across high volumes of content Background or interest in editing, proofreading, or content quality assurance Strong organizational and time-management skills Comfortable working across different content types and functional areas Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams Undergraduate degree in Literature, Communications or any related field is preferred 2 years of relevant professional experience is preferred

Work Environment

Full-time, on-site role based in the Toronto office Collaborative environment with exposure to marketing, instructional design, and content development teams
