An integrated, collaborative, interdisciplinary vaccine research team, the Canadian Center for Vaccinology (CCfV) is committed to developing, implementing and evaluating vaccine technologies and vaccines for infectious diseases that have a significant impact on Canadian and global health and training experts in these critical and evolving fields. Job Summary
Reporting to the EDIA Manager, the EDIA Coordinator provides administrative, logistical, and communications support in the development and implementation of CCfV's EDIA plan, strategy, and policies.


Key Responsibilities
• Assist the EDIA Manager with the research, development, and delivery of strategic EDIA action plans.
• Support the EDIA Manager in the development and execution of a comprehensive work plan to guide EDIA activities at the Center, working within the frameworks of CCfV's institutional partners.
• Provide support in liaising with engaged parties, including staff, community organizations, and institutional partners.
• Maintain organized records of EDIA-related policies, reports, and resources.
• Draft and distribute EDIA-related communications, including emails, newsletters, and announcements.
• Assist in tracking progress toward EDIA goals and milestones.




Note
The successful applicant will primarily work remotely, with occasional presence in-person on-campus to meet client needs and operational requirements.




Required Qualifications
• Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g., Social Sciences, Human Resources, Administration). Other equivalent professional and lived experiences will be considered.
• Basic understanding of EDIA principles and a willingness to learn and grow in this area. An understanding of race and racism, power and privilege, as well as an understanding of culturally appropriate development and delivery of programs and services.
• Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with others, both internally and externally, as well as the ability to handle sensitive topics with tact and professionalism.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to speak, listen and write in a clear, thorough, and timely manner using appropriate and effective communication tools and techniques.
• Organization skills and planning, the ability to produce high quality written work (reports, special projects, correspondence), with strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, MS Project) and Adobe Acrobat.




Assets
• Previous experience in administrative roles or working on EDIA-related projects.
• Previous experience in research administration/non-profit/research setting.
