401 - Critical Perspectives of Assessment (Sessional Practica Coach/Seminar Leader)



Assessment and evaluation are complex, highly politicized and often divisive issues within and beyond the educational sphere. This course will enable pre-service teachers to explore and critically examine assessment methods/practices and the philosophies and policies, which inform them, reconceptualizing assessment as a transformative pedagogical act.



The large lecture component of this course, consisting of lecture videos and activities, is offered online asynchronously. Sessional Practica Coaches/Seminar Leaders will be expected to engage with the asynchronous material, lead a seminar section, and assist with grading for their seminars.



Remuneration is based on 80 hours x $64.01/hour = $5120.80.
Position Requirements
Normally it is preferred that applicants will have a Master of Education degree appropriate to the area of instruction. Applicants should also have experience in the education system appropriate to the content of the course applied for, knowledge of, and experience with the Saskatchewan curriculum, knowledge and experience with Faculty of Education programs, and current knowledge of issues related to the course for which the applicant has applied. University teaching experience is an asset.
