About Innovate BC

A Crown Agency of British Columbia, Innovate BC works to foster innovation across the province and bolster the growth of the local economy through delivering a wide range of programs that help companies start and scale, de-risk tech adoption, grow innovation capacity within businesses and encourage technology development, commercialization, and adoption to support productivity and competitiveness. Innovate BC also harnesses crucial data collection and research and works to forge strategic industry and community partnerships that create more opportunities for B.C. innovators

About the Role

The Ecosystem Manager is a key member of the Ecosystem and Partnerships department, reporting to the Director of Partnerships. This role is centered on building and nurturing relationships across B.C.'s innovation ecosystem -- including industry associations, accelerators, incubators, investors, corporates, equity-deserving groups, and government partners. The Ecosystem Manager will act as a connector and primary point of contact for incoming inquiries, represent Innovate BC at partner events, and co-develop structured pathways that help B.C. ventures access the right programs, resources, and opportunities to scale.

As part of the Road to Web Summit Vancouver (R2WSV)

initiative, the Ecosystem Manager will design, streamline, and manage a robust tracking system for participant engagement. This includes capturing detailed data on demographics, outcomes, and growth milestones, which will inform near-term reporting and longer-term, data-driven insights. These insights will play a vital role in Innovate BC's strategic storytelling and future program design.

The ideal candidate is a strong connector and communicator who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. They will bring proven experience in partnership development, community engagement, and data-driven ecosystem mapping. With an ability to translate insights into actionable strategies, they will help ensure B.C. ventures are well-positioned for growth, investment, and global opportunities.
