Job Summary/Responsibilities:
The Economics + Advisory Practice has three core disciplines: Sustainable Economics, Urban Policy & Economic Development, and Real Estate Advisory. Our team helps our clients achieve its goals. That includes making decisions about business case, market demand, feasibility, and financial requirements as well as social impact, economic development, and equity. We pull ideas into focus and sharpen the boundaries of a preliminary plan or concept for regional and place-based economic development, urban revitalization, real estate, tourism, and culture.
Collaborating with other disciplines, our team develops strategies that respond to the market, attract financing, and enable implementation. We address challenges through clear communication, creative thinking, and structured, impartial analysis. Our global experience and comprehensive, integrated approach help us understand how multiple factors influence value and feasibility. It's not just about the market, but also project design, public policies and regulations, site conditions, mitigation requirements, development and financing costs, phasing, and implementation challenges.
The Real Estate Advisory practice is looking for a project leader that can support integrated pursuits, identify opportunities, and guide a team of analysts. With an Americas practice, we are seeking candidates that can learn the nuances of new markets and provide subject matter expertise in a specific focus area. Potential focus areas include Business Case Analysis, Higher Education Public Private Partnerships, Transit Oriented Development / Joint Development, Urban Regeneration, and Brownfield Redevelopment.
The selected candidate will join AECOM with the primary objective of managing delivery of real estate analysis and transaction support projects. Additional day-to-day tasks will require business development activities and the direction of project teams to ensure top quality and timely work products which satisfy clients' needs.
The successful candidate will have deep expertise in some of the following topics and familiarity with the remainder: market and financial feasibility analysis; business case analysis; economic development strategies for redevelopment, innovation & upskilling, and economic resilience; public-private partnerships and transaction support; housing and community development; public finance, including fiscal impact analyses and infrastructure financing strategies
