Our online store is growing, and we're looking for a detail-oriented Ecommerce Merchandising Assistant to help keep our digital shelves accurate, organized, and inspiring.
Job Summary
The Ecommerce Merchandising Assistant helps keep the Opus online store organized, accurate, and up to date. This entry-level role focuses on product uploads, catalog maintenance, and merchandising support tasks in Shopify. It's an excellent opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and an interest in ecommerce and creative tools.
What You'll Do
Product & Catalog Management
Upload product listings in Shopify using provided titles, descriptions, pricing, images, and tags.
Assign products to the correct categories and collections.
Format product descriptions according to brand style guides.
Flag missing or inconsistent product data for review.
Visual Merchandising Support
Rename, resize, and upload product images into Shopify.
Help organize image folders and product content libraries.
Ensure visuals follow consistent formatting and file naming.
Pricing & Inventory Updates
Enter or update pricing and inventory in Shopify as directed.
Cross-check data provided by the Purchasing or Warehouse team.
Promotion Setup Assistance
Assist in setting up discount codes and member offers in Shopify.
Update product tags or collections to reflect current promotions.
Administrative Support
Maintain spreadsheets and logs for tracking product updates.
Follow internal checklists for product launches and catalog reviews.
Support the Coordinator or Specialist with day-to-day merchandising tasks.
What You Bring
0-1 year of experience in ecommerce, retail, data entry, or admin support roles.
Familiarity with Shopify or willingness to learn.
Comfortable working in Google Sheets or Excel.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow through on tasks.
Comfort with repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy.
Interest in art supplies, retail, or ecommerce is an asset.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $37,024 - $39,500 CAD annually.
