Vancouver Coastal Health Volunteer Resources Department is looking for an E-commerce Gift Shop Manager to join the VGH Gift Shop staff and volunteer team. Apply today to join our team!

As an E-commerce Gift Shop Manager with Vancouver Coastal Health you will:

  • Be responsible for the cost effective and profitable operation of the Vancouver General Hospital E-commerce Gift Shop which produces profits that are donated to the Hospital annually.
  • Use marketing expertise, creative vision and a collaborative approach, the E-commerce Gift Shop Manager ensures that the Gift Shop meets and exceeds diverse client needs and expectations.
  • Develop a business case for the E-commerce Gift Shop including goals and objectives, supervises and performance manages a team of volunteers who staff the gift shop.
  • Will be a pivotal part of our team, overseeing the operation and growth of our online store
  • Work closely with our other Gift Shop Manager, managing product listings, customer interactions in person and online, order fulfillment, and driving sales growth
  • Have a strong understanding of e-commerce platforms and tools
  • Ensure outstanding customer service in person and online and efficient order fulfillment, driving demand, conversion, engagement, and retention
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase online sales
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to inform strategic decisions for E-commerce sales
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance our brand and mission
Qualifications

Education & Experience
  • Diploma in Business or Marketing Management.
  • Three to five years\xe2\x80\x99 recent, related retail management experience.
  • Experience in merchandising, marketing and advertising or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Knowledge & Abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and initiate marketing campaigns and strategies, utilizing all available marketing mediums and ensuring effective merchandising.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage contracts and relationships with external vendors such as credit cards, Interac and florists.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current retail trends.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, motivational, organizational and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to promote and foster collaborative, respectful relationships with staff/volunteers while providing direction, guidance and feedback.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
