Join Our Team as a Full-Time Associate - Tonic Living

Location: East York, Toronto | Full-Time | Primarily Weekdays

At Tonic Living, we've been designing and crafting quality, on-trend soft furnishings since 2004. Our welcoming store in East York is where our team blends design expertise, genuine customer care, and positivity. With a loyal following of interior designers and home decor lovers across Canada and the U.S., we're more than a store--we're a destination for inspiration.

What You'll Do:

Master Our Tools and Systems

-Learn and confidently use our business systems, including Front, Google Workspace (Sheets, Slides, Docs), Chrome, the Front Email App, and Shopify-Be adaptable to learning additional systems as we grow, such as Tidio Live Chat and Zoom.-Use these tools effectively to support the daily flow of customer communications and orders.

Know Our Products Inside and Out

-Develop a strong knowledge of all Tonic Living products and our website.-Confidently discuss product details, specifications, and options with customers to help them make the best choices.

Create Outstanding Customer Experiences

-Prioritize and respond to all customer inquiries--whether by phone, email, or in person--in a timely, professional, and friendly manner that reflects the "Tonic tone."-Build customer rapport, addressing any concerns or discrepancies with empathy and diplomacy.-Provide information on product availability and quantities when relevant.-Ensure every customer feels understood, valued, and supported.

Handle Daily Customer Experience Operations

-Manage phone lines, voicemail, and email inboxes.-Process out-of-stock and backorder communications, including splitting and adjusting orders in Shopify.-Take payments, send pick-up notifications, and coordinate order status updates.-Respond to Google and Judge.me reviews thoughtfully and in brand voice.-Assist the Trade Team with trade program applications and related tasks when needed.

Support the Team

Jump in on other departmental or company-wide tasks as needed to help the Tonic Living team run like clockwork.

What You Bring:

A genuine passion for home decor and a natural sense of style At least 2 years of experience in a customer-facing sales role (retail, hospitality, or related fields welcome) Strong time management, organization, and communication skills An ability to manage competing priorities, adapt quickly, and pivot as needed throughout the day A collaborative attitude and a drive to make each customer feel heard and supported Confidence using G Suite and comfort working in a Mac environment
