Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Echocardiographer to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of cardiac anatomy and physiology, along with proficiency in performing echocardiograms. This role is crucial in providing accurate diagnostic information to assist physicians in patient care. The Echocardiographer will work closely with patients, ensuring comfort while obtaining high-quality imaging results.

Responsibilities

Perform echocardiograms and other cardiac imaging procedures as prescribed by physicians. Conducting contrast studies on either echocardiogram and stress echocardiogram as appropriate Prepare accurate preliminary reports for physician interpretation Ensure the proper operation of ultrasound equipment and maintain its functionality. Analyze and interpret echocardiographic data, documenting findings accurately. Collaborate with medical staff to discuss patient conditions and imaging results. Educate patients about the procedure, addressing any questions or concerns they may have. Stay updated on advancements in echocardiography techniques and technologies. Creating a positive patient service experience

Qualifications

Completion of an accredited program in echocardiography or a related field. Certification as an Echocardiographer (ARDMS, CARDUP certification and CMRTO certification) Basic Cardiac Life Support certification Strong understanding of medical terminology, particularly related to cardiology. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective patient interaction and collaboration with healthcare professionals. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Compassionate demeanor with a focus on patient care and comfort. Adherence to PHIPA
