Duties

Assist in the planning and implementation of educational programs and activities tailored to meet the needs of students. Provide support to teachers in managing classroom dynamics and ensuring a safe learning environment. Engage with students to foster their social, emotional, and academic development. Collaborate with special education staff to support students with disabilities and adapt lessons as needed. Maintain clear communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and program updates. Utilize computer skills for documentation, lesson planning, and communication purposes. Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching strategies. Exhibit strong organizational skills by managing classroom materials and resources effectively.

Qualifications

Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is preferred. Background in early childhood education or teaching is advantageous. Knowledge of special education practices and experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus. Bilingual proficiency in English and French is desirable but not mandatory. Strong time management skills to balance multiple responsibilities efficiently. Excellent leadership abilities to guide students positively within the program. Effective writing skills for documentation and communication purposes. Proficient computer operation skills for administrative tasks related to program management.
