Job Summary

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals for the roles of ECE in our preschool program. The ideal candidates will have a passion for early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and educational environment for young children. This position involves working closely with children to support their development, learning, and well-being in a classroom setting.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality care and education to children in accordance with established curriculum and standards. Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that promotes learning and development. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that encourage exploration, creativity, and critical thinking. Observe and assess children's progress, documenting developmental milestones and individual needs. Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other staff members to support each child's growth and development. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom space that meets health and safety regulations. Support children with disabilities by adapting activities to ensure inclusivity in the learning environment. Foster positive relationships with children while promoting social skills, emotional regulation, and conflict resolution.

Qualifications

Two years experience working with children in a large daycare setting Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education. Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues. Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with young children are essential traits for success in this role.
Requirements:

Valid Early Childhood Education BC License to Practice Valid First Aid/CPR Certificate Clear Criminal Record Check Two References
Salary: $28-$33 (includes Wage enhancement where eligible)

Start date: Sept 2, 2025
