Job Description

We are currently seeking a

passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educator (ECE or ECE IT)

to lead our

Preschool group (ages 3-5 years)

.

This is a

small, close-knit group of 8 children

, and we are looking for an educator with experience leading preschool-aged groups. The ideal candidate is someone who is not only nurturing and creative, but also familiar with

BC licensing rules and regulations

to ensure a safe and compliant learning environment.

We are also open to considering qualified

ECE or ECE IT

candidates for our

Toddler group

, should an outstanding candidate apply.

Please note that we are only able to consider

candidates with valid ECE or ECE IT certification in British Columbia

. Unfortunately, we are

not able to accept ECEA certification or applicants from outside Canada

at this time. We are happy to support BC PNP or LMIA applications for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and implement programs that promote children's physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development Lead engaging activities such as storytelling, singing, arts and crafts, and local outings Encourage creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and movement Guide children in developing healthy habits in eating, dressing, and toileting Observe and assess each child's development and communicate regularly with families and colleagues Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment Ensure daily practices are in line with

licensing requirements and safety standards

Work collaboratively with team members and community partners

Requirements:

Valid

ECE or ECE IT certification in BC

Strong understanding of

BC child care licensing regulations

Criminal Record Check

Up-to-date immunization records

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $29.00-$31.00 per hour
