Puzzles Childcare Centre

is a small (8 children max) licensed multi-age childcare centre in a family neighborhood in Chilliwack. We are searching for an

ECE assistant

that is able to work part-time up to 5 days per week (can be flexible).

Our philosophy is based on learning through play and we are looking with someone with the following qualities:

ECE assistant certified and passionate about working with young children from ages 1 to 5 years old Good work ethic and organizational skills, creative, loving, resourceful and work well as a team.
Candidates are

required

to have:

The ability to support our full curriculum as described in our policies BC ECEA license Criminal Record Check Provide a doctor's note of good health First-Aid certified or willing to get certified Experience working with children is preferred The physical ability to perform all assigned tasks including walking and standing for extended periods of time
Qualities we are looking for:

Able to take initiative, work independently and as part of a team Plan and conduct creative and educational activities including arts, crafts, circle time, science, etc Encourage children to engage positively with their teachers and peers while building their confidence Prepare and supervise children during outside time (outdoor play area in the backyard), lunch, play, and nap time Work with parents and other teachers to improve children's progress in potty training Fulfill minor cleaning duties such as sweeping, placing dishes/toys into dishwasher, sanitizing surfaces, keeping the facility tidy
