Overview:
The Eatery Department Manager, under the direction of the Store Manager, is primarily responsible for operating the day-to-day functions and cultivating an excellent environment for all team members within the Eatery Department.
Responsibilities:
Overall care for team members safety and their well-being
Participates and/or leads recruitment within the department
Executes performance management conversations with team members within the department
Schedule employees
Orderings, receiving, price changes, handling damaged products, and returns
Model and trains excellent customer service
Ensure appropriate levels of inventory are maintained
Collaborating with other team members to ensure that the store achieves it's financial target
Merchandising to augment customer engagement and drive sales
Training on company standards and procedures
Assist in rolling out new policies and ensure team members are compliant
Drive team member engagement
Thoroughly maintain team member records
Product knowledge and ability to increase basket size
Ensure that all health, safety, and security regulations are adhered to and required standards are met
Maintaining safety and food quality standards
Ensuring customers order are fulfilled to standards
Ensure timesheets are approved for payroll processing on time
Arrives to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work; works all scheduled shifts and attends required trainings and meetings
Qualifications:
Education and Experience
To demonstrate full competence in this position an incumbent typically requires:
3-5 years of management experience
Experience working in a grocery retailer or eatery environment
Experience in maintaining operational excellence in retail stores (payroll, shrink and inventory management, etc)
Knowledge
Well-defined sense of diplomacy, including conflict resolution, and people management
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity suite
Basic office administration skills required
Food Handlers Certificate

Working Conditions
Extended periods of standing, and other physically demanding conditions
Face Covering must be worn in all GM establishments
Flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
Interaction with customers/clients, and the public at large
Operation of computer and IPOS machines
Travel:
Occasionally travel to other store locations to support operations or for meetings
