Role overview:





As part of the Community Programs Division at the YMCA, we are searching for a Manager of Early Years & Family Services. This role is pivotal in shaping and delivering high-quality programs that support to children, families, and early childhood professionals in our community.



The Manager of Early Years & Family Services will oversee the strategic development, team leadership, and evaluation of CCRR and Early Years programs, ensuring alignment with provincial standards, community needs, and organizational goals, including advocacy in the child care sector.

Foster a collaborative team environment, inspiring staff to elevate services and deliver best in class programming. Have experience in creating annual and quarterly operation plans and performance metrics to ensure high-quality, responsive services that provide information, support, resources and referral services to families, child care professionals, and child care providers. Have an interest in advocating for early childhood development and accessible child care within community settings and committees. Have excellent written, organizational, and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, reporting requirements, and priorities. Ability to build positive relationships with community partners, child development support providers, and child care providers. Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic and changing environment. Demonstrated commitment to DEI and inclusive practices.

Additional Assets:




Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in a related field (e.g. Early Childhood Education, Social Work, Child and Youth) Minimum 1 year direct management and supervisory experience leading staff in a childcare, family, or community program setting. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Speak multiple languages considered an asset Have access to vehicle

Position details:




Schedule:

40 hours per week, management role that includes 1 evening per week and Saturdays on-call.

Compensation:

$28.83-$31.97 per hour, dependent on education and experience + benefits after 3-month probationary period
