At Maverick?s Donut Company, we are very eager to provide our customers with a memorable experience through outstanding customer service. This includes a prompt friendly greeting, quality donuts and beverages, all the while maintaining a clean and comfortable environment for our guests.
Description of Position
As a Maverick?s Donut Company baker, you will be expected to make donuts from start to finish. This means mixing the dough, frying the dough and decorating the fried dough with the use of various kitchen appliances and kitchen tools. It is the baker?s duty to ensure that the necessary toppings are prepared in line with the shop's daily needs and recipes. You will report to the store owner/manager and be expected to follow directions and execute them in a fast-paced, high- energy environment. Every now and again, you will be required to offer our guests friendly customer service and to work the POS system.
Key Activities and Responsibilities
- Frying and decorating donuts by following the company?s recipes, process and procedures
- Prepare for pre-orders each day before store opening
- Cleaning kitchen equipment after use
- Preparing all dips, glazes and other toppings as required
- Putting away all food and equipment used during shift
- Wipe down all counters, tables and work areas
- Drain/filter fryer oil, wipe down fryer, replenish oil as needed
- Clean out/organize inside of fridge
- Dishwashing as needed
- Take out garbage/compost and replace all garbage bags
- Thoroughly sweep/vacuum and mop all floors
- Acts with integrity and honesty
- Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events
- Takes on required tasks with enthusiasm
- Contributes to a positive team environment
- Delivers great customer service to all of our guests through polite conversation and friendly assistance
- Provides quality donuts by focusing on consistency
- Adheres to product recipes and presentation standards
- Education certificate in baking school is an asset
- Ability to learn quickly
- Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed.

- Constant reaching, turning, and performing precision work around work area
- Constant reception of detailed instructions through oral communication

- Occasional Distinguishing, with a degree of accuracy, differences or similarities in intensity or quality of flavors and/or odors

- Barrie, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
- Do you have a reliable source of transportation, keeping in mind buses don?t run this early
- Must be available to start as early as 4am. This is a must.
- Do you have your food handlers certificate? If not are you willing to get as this is a requirement.
- Please tell me your availability. Must be able to work early mornings and Sundays
