About the Role

The Toddler Educator plays a vital role in guiding our students through a stage of joyful discovery. In this classroom, every milestone--from first friendships to newfound independence--is celebrated. You will help create a calm, responsive environment where toddlers can explore safely, express themselves, and begin developing the foundations of lifelong learning.

Key Responsibilities

Create and maintain a nurturing, engaging, and organized classroom environment. Plan and implement Montessori and Reggio-inspired experiences that foster exploration, independence, and emotional growth. Encourage self-help, language, and social-emotional skills through daily routines and guided play. Observe, document, and share student learning through developmental notes and learning stories. Collaborate closely with your teaching team and families to support consistent care and communication. Follow Alberta Child Care Licensing and Health & Safety standards.

Qualifications & Attributes

Alberta Child Development Worker, Assistant, or Supervisor Certification. Current Standard First Aid & CPR Level C. Clear criminal record and vulnerable sector check. Warm, patient, and reflective approach to working with toddlers. Strong collaboration and communication skills. Experience in a Montessori or Reggio-inspired setting is an asset (training provided).

Pay: $18.50-$19.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
