Job Overview


We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing, engaging, and safe learning environment for young children. This role requires strong communication skills, classroom management abilities, and a genuine love for working with children. Bilingual skills in English and French are highly desirable, along with experience in special education and working with children with disabilities. The Early Childhood Teacher will play a vital role in fostering developmental growth and supporting each child's individual needs through innovative teaching methods and organizational skills.

Responsibilities



Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. Create a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and respect among children. Use effective communication skills to interact with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to education. Maintain accurate records of student progress and classroom activities using computer skills and organizational skills. Adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of children, including those requiring special education or accommodations for disabilities. Manage classroom behavior through leadership and time management skills to foster a safe and productive learning space. Collaborate with team members to plan activities that support curriculum goals and developmental milestones. Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with early childhood education best practices.

Experience



Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is preferred. Classroom experience demonstrating effective teaching techniques and classroom management is highly valued. Bilingual proficiency in English and French is an advantage, especially when working with diverse populations. Experience with special education or working with children with disabilities is beneficial. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for engaging effectively with children, parents, and team members. Familiarity with computer operation, including basic software for record keeping and communication tools, is required. Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to manage time efficiently are critical for success in this role.
