Early Childhood Educator (ECE) - Position Overview
Tiny Hearts Childcare Centre is seeking a qualified and committed Early Childhood Educator to join our professional and inclusive team. We are dedicated to providing a nurturing, stimulating, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children. Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive, age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with play-based learning principles
Establish and maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that fosters children's overall well-being
Utilize effective and positive behavior guidance strategies that promote social-emotional development
Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to assistant educators and support staff within the classroom
Plan and facilitate engaging educational experiences that encourage growth across all developmental domains--cognitive, physical, social, and emotional
Maintain open, respectful, and professional communication with families, colleagues, and management
Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and organizational policies
Qualifications and Requirements
Diploma in Early Childhood Education, Child and Youth Work, Recreation, or a related field
Registered and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators (RECE), where applicable
Previous experience in a licensed childcare or educational setting is preferred
Demonstrated organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with children, families, and team members
Proven capacity to work collaboratively within a team and take initiative in a leadership role

Pay: $22.53-$23.44 per hour
