We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. This role involves educating children, promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development, and creating an inclusive classroom atmosphere that accommodates diverse learning needs.
Duties
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
Create a safe and welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
Educate children through play-based activities, hands-on experiences, and structured lessons.
Assess children's progress and adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs.
Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support each child's development.
Collaborate with special education staff to accommodate children with disabilities or special needs.
Maintain classroom organization and cleanliness while ensuring all materials are accessible.
Requirements:
Must have a valid BC ECE IT certificate
Must have a valid first aid certificate
Must have a valid Criminal Record Check
Knowledge of licensing regulations
Excellent communication skills
Good computer skills
Ability to adapt plans to specific classrooms
Salary
$ 26 - 28 (wage enhancement included)
