About the Opportunity

We are seeking casual/on-call

Early Childhood Educators (ECE)

and

Early Childhood Education Assistants (ECEA)

that are responsible for providing support to the Daycare team and supervising children on a daily basis, providing a safe and healthy environment.



We have casual/on-call opportunities for vacation, sick, ratio coverage which may lead to permanent roles in the future.



Your key responsibilities include but are not limited to:


Supervise children ensuring their safety and well-being Plan and facilitate activities to engage children, with support and direction from an ECE Prepare snacks and lunch on a daily basis Provide assistance to the ECEs, as requested.

More About You

In order to qualify for the

Early Childhood Educator (ECE) roles or Early Childhood Education Assistant (ECEA)

roles, the following are required:


An BC Certified Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Early Childhood Education Assistant (ECEA) Certification is required. Up to date immunization records and completion and possession of Valid CPR and First Aid Certificate as well as Food Safe certification. Proof of a clear criminal record including vulnerable sector check. Preference will be given to candidates who have previous experience working in a similar capacity, supervising and working with children; experience developing learning activities would be an asset.

Our childcare programming supports lifelong learning and we are open to new and informative findings in our field; we are flexible to the learning styles of the children and the educator's teaching styles.



Competitive Hourly wages from $19-20 per hour for ECEA's and $21-$23 per hour for ECEs, depending on experience level, plus 4% vacation pay. Qualification for the BC

ECE

Wage Enhancement.
