Asland Academy is a licensed pre-kindergarten in Vancouver, B.C. Through our Reggio-inspired programme, we believe in differentiated instruction in order to meet the importance of educating the whole child. The school provides a safe and nurturing environment where our students can learn and grow academically, socially and emotionally.

Our South Granville Centre is now seeking an Early Childhood Educator who will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the pre-kindergarten program to ensure safe, stimulating play and to provide for the needs of the whole child.

You will report directly to the School Director (or delegate) to organize and lead activities designed to promote physical, mental, and social development, such as games, music, art and storytelling.

As the co-teacher of your classroom, you will encourage all children to interact and work cooperatively with others and engage all children in activities. You will provide positive guidance to help children develop self-control.

You will also establish a constructive relationship with parents/caregivers, exchanging information.

The ideal candidate should possesses these:

5-year British Columbia ECE Certificate Three years of teaching experience in a preschool or pre-kindergarten Strong interpersonal, organizational, time-management, and fluent English communication skills Ability to work in a multicultural and inclusive environment Excellent written skills for documentation of students' learning and writing report cards in accordance with the School's expectations Ability to team teach and plan collaboratively Outstanding communication skills to partner with parents to optimize learning Passion for ongoing professional development and growth Aspiration for promotion to a managerial position within the organization Fluent in French or Spanish will be an asset

Pay: $26.00-$30.00 per hour
