Reports to:

The Early Childhood Educator reports to the Program Supervisor.

Here's how you will make a positive impact on a day-to-day basis:

Plan, implement, and evaluate activities and experiences to meet individual and group needs of all children and families of a childcare program. Guide and care for a group of children that are toddler age to 3 years old Encourage learning and develop positive self-concepts for children Ensure a healthy and safe environment for children Maintain effective and cooperative teamwork and communication Maintain positive and supportive relationships with parents and families

In addition to being a wonderful and positive person & team player, you must have:

ECE Infant / Toddler &/or Special Needs Certification Childcare First Aid and Food Safe Level 1 Well-developed interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication Strong knowledge and awareness of: + Emergent curriculum and the BC Early Learning Framework
+ Developmental needs of children
+ Family engagement strategies and parenting issues and needs
+ Guiding and caring strategies
Knowledge of broader child care field and its role in the community

Additional skills and experiences may include:

Child care experience working in an inclusive child care setting Second Language

Terms of Employment:

Salary: $28.74 per hour plus employer-paid health and welfare benefits. In addition, you may be eligible for a $6 per hour Provincial ECE Wage Enhancement. Full-time (37.5 hours per week) Starting: November 3, 2025

Location: Quayside Children's Centre - Toddler Program
