The Opportunity


We're hiring for a full-time permanent position with Mahmowenchike Family Development Centre. Your initial placement will be at our St. Vincent site.

Educators are hired for the organization, not a single site or room. As program needs shift across locations, your placement may change. Flexibility and a team-focused mindset are essential.

This position is Monday to Friday, working within our operating hours of 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. The role is full-time at 8 hours per day, aligned with the care needs of the program.

What You Bring


We're looking for someone who can balance warmth with professionalism and creativity with accountability. Successful candidates will have:

A Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education orequivalent qualifications Registration in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators (if applicable) Strong understanding of the Child Care and Early Years Act and How Does Learning Happen?*
Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certification A current Vulnerable Sector Check (within 6 months) Up-to-date immunizations Awareness of Anishinaabemowin language, teachings, and culture is a strong asset The ability to design meaningful, developmentally appropriate experiences Consistency, reliability, and a commitment to high-quality practice A collaborative mindset - you'll be part of a team, not working in isolation

Compensation



Unqualified Educators:

$18.00-$23.50/hr

Qualified Educators:

$20.50-$25.75/hr
Additional funding may apply:

Provincial Wage Enhancement Grant

: Up to $2.00/hr

CWELCC Workforce Compensation:

Ensures RECEs earn a minimum of $24.86/hr, with potential increases up to $27.00/hr
