Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educators level 3, 2 and 1 to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. This role involves educating and guiding children in their early developmental stages, ensuring they receive the foundational skills necessary for future learning. The Early Childhood educator will work collaboratively with parents and other educators to create a supportive community that promotes growth and development.

Duties

Develop and implement engaging activity plans that align with early childhood education standards. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster positive relationships. Educate children in various subjects, including language, math, science, and social skills. Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration and creativity. Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents regarding their development. Lead activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development. Maintain organized records of student progress and classroom activities. Collaborate with special education staff to support children with diverse learning needs. Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills.

Qualifications

A valid Alberta ECE certificate. First Aid , CPR and food safety certificate. Experience working with children in an educational setting is highly desirable. Strong communication skills in English; bilingual candidates are a plus. Leadership abilities to guide classroom activities and manage student behavior effectively. Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices. Organizational skills to maintain classroom order and manage lesson plans efficiently. Ability to write clear reports on student progress and communicate effectively with parents. Experience or training in special education is beneficial but not required. A clear criminal police check with vulnerable sector.

Pay: $15.50-$20.00 per hour
