Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Responsible Adult/ Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join our team in our School Age Program for the remainder of Summer. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. This role involves planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that promote learning through play while ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.

Responsibilities

Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and creativity. Monitor and assess children's daily activities, providing feedback to parents and guardians. Collaborate with other educators and staff to create a cohesive learning experience for children. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom space conducive to learning. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's day and any concerns that may arise.

Requirements

Valid Early Childhood Education Certificate/ Responsible Adult Certification First Aid Certification Strong understanding of child development principles, early childhood education practices and the BC Early Learning Framework. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues. Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for working with young children. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative in individual responsibilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 40 per week
