Job Overview


We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. You will implement age-appropriate curricula and engage with children to promote learning through play and structured activities. Your expertise in early childhood education will be essential in guiding children through their formative years.

Mackenzie Infant Care Centres is also a teen parent support centre mentoring young parents attending highschool through their journey as a parent. Mentoring these young parents is a big aspect of the position.

Responsibilities



Develop and implement engaging experiences that align with early childhood education standards. Foster a safe and inclusive environment that encourages exploration and learning. Monitor and assess children's progress in various developmental areas. Mentoring and building relationships with young parents. Collaborate with parents and caregivers to support children's growth and address any concerns. Provide individualized support for children possibly requiring early intervention. Maintain clean, organized, and engaging rooms that reflects the children's interests and learning objectives. Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and knowledge of childhood development.

Skills



Experience working with children in various settings such as daycare, preschool. Knowledge of guidance techniques and childhood development. Communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues. Knowledge of basic programming strategies to plan and track child development. Experience with infants/toddlers would be beneficial, or the ambition to learn and grow to be a part of our program. Organizational skills and the ability to multitask with children on the floor. Communication skills with team members as well as parents. Ability to handle and respond appropriately to constructive criticism and feedback. Skill with monitoring children in the room as a whole and respond to needs appropriately and in a timely manner.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
