Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced, passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team of 3 Educators. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. This role involves planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that promote learning through play while ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards. Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and creativity. Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians on their development. Collaborate with other educators and staff to create a cohesive learning experience for children. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom space conducive to learning. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise. Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge of early childhood education best practices.

Requirements

Valid Early Childhood Education Certificate First Aid Certification Strong understanding of child development principles, early childhood education practices and the BC Early Learning Framework. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues. Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for working with young children. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative in individual responsibilities. 2+ years experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
