The successful candidate will have the following;o Alberta Early Childhood Educator Certification - Level 1, 2 or 3;o Experience working with children aged 12months - 6 years in a licensed child care setting;o A positive attitude and collaborative teamwork approach;o Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including basic computer literacy;o Current Standard First Aid and CPR C certification (CPR recertified within the last 12 months);o Evidence of a clear Police Information Check and Vulnerable Sector Search;o Three professional references.This position is permanent part-time with a guaranteed 20 hours/week. The hours will typically be mid-day, but they may vary to meet area need. Additional hours may be available to meet presenting centre needs. The YMCA Child Care Development Centre is open 7am-6pm, Monday - Friday. Additional hours to meet training requirements will also be scheduledWhat does this role look like at YMCA Calgary?Reporting to the Child Care Supervisor, the PT Early Childhood Educator will:xc2xb7 Ensure the delivery of excellent service by identifying and responding in a professional and timely manner to the needs and wants of children and parents/guardians;
xc2xb7 Support young children with social and self-regulation skill development, personal care needs and to achieve developmental milestones;
xc2xb7 Plan and facilitate intentional, developmentally appropriate play-based learning activities;
xc2xb7 Maintain health and safety measures including child safety & protection standards, health management and the provision of a safe and clean environment;
xc2xb7 Establish and maintain effective communication standards with stakeholders and professionally represent YMCA Calgary both internally and with the broader community;
