Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic

Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE)

to join our toddler and preschool teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a deep understanding of child development, have strong communication skills, and be committed to fostering positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and implement developmentally appropriate, inquiry- and play-based programming for toddlers and/or preschoolers Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment aligned with the Early Learning for Every Child Today (ELECT) framework and How Does Learning Happen?*
Observe, document, and assess children's progress; maintain portfolios and communicate regularly with families Collaborate with team members to ensure consistency in care, routines, and programming Promote positive guidance techniques and model appropriate social behavior Maintain compliance with all policies of the center, the CECE, the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA), and all relevant public health protocols Attend staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities Supervise and mentor students and assistants, as required

Qualifications:

Registered and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators

Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education from a recognized institution Valid

Standard First Aid and CPR Level C

Up-to-date

Vulnerable Sector Check

(dated within the past 6 months) Knowledge of How Does Learning Happen?, ELECT*, and the CCEYA
Strong interpersonal, communication, and observation skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment Experience in a toddler and/or preschool setting is considered an asset
