Kootenay Kids Society is seeking a qualified candidate for the temporary part-time Early Childhood Educator, Supported Child Development position at the Early Care and Learning Centre (20 hours per week until December 2026)

Under the direction of the Child Care Centre supervisor, the early childhood educator will be responsible for all aspects of planning, implementing, and documenting a comprehensive, age-appropriate, and play-based program for children in their care. You will use a family-centered approach with reflective practice as a basis for communication with other staff and families.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

? Registered Early Childhood Education certificate in BC

? One-year experience in a childcare centre

? Current, recognized First Aid Certificate

? Demonstrated knowledge of child development and its practical application

? Ability to work as part of a team and excellent communication skills

Pay: $26.73-$30.65 per hour
