We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role requires strong communication skills, classroom experience, and a genuine love for working with children. The Early Childhood Teacher will collaborate with colleagues, engage families, and implement age-appropriate curriculum to promote early learning success.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement engaging play based lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards
Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and social interaction
Monitor and assess individual child progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians
Support children with diverse needs by adapting activities and providing necessary accommodations
Maintain accurate records of attendance, cleaning charts, and documentation
Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and administrators regarding students, day to day, and classroom activities
Manage classroom organization efficiently to ensure a safe and productive learning environment
Lead by example in demonstrating leadership qualities such as patience, organization, and effective time management
Ability to lift 45lbs, comfortable sitting on the floor and getting up, physically fit to keep up with children
Qualifications
Proven experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting
Early childhood education certification in BC
Strong communication and English skills--verbal and written--necessary for engaging with children, parents, and staff
Experience working with children with diverse needs is an asset
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively
Demonstrated leadership qualities and ability to work collaboratively within a team
Knowledge of classroom management techniques and curriculum development strategies
Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learner needs
