We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. This role involves developing and implementing engaging curriculum, promoting child development, and ensuring the well-being of each child in our care. We will accept applications without a level but there will be a timeframe to complete your level one.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that supports early childhood development.
Create lesson plans with your room partners that incorporate literacy education, math, and physical education.
Manage classroom activities and maintain an organized learning environment.
Provide individualized support for children with special needs through early intervention strategies.
Foster positive behavior management techniques to encourage social skills and emotional growth.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
Conduct assessments to monitor student development and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance educational programs and share best practices.
Maintain a safe and healthy classroom environment that adheres to child welfare standards.
Skills
Strong experience with children in various settings, including daycare, preschool, or private school environments.
Proficient in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques.
Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management strategies.
Experience working with students who require special education support or tutoring.
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, and staff.
Familiarity with standardized testing procedures as they relate to early childhood education.
Ability to integrate Montessori methods into teaching practices when applicable.
