We are seeking a passionate and dedicated level 1, 2 & 3 Early Childhood Educators to join our team at our newest location in Clairmont, AB. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental milestones, and promoting a love of learning. This role involves designing engaging curriculum in accordance to the FLIGHT framework, managing classroom activities, and collaborating with families to ensure each child's success. Experience with various educational approaches, including Montessori and preschool methods, is highly valued. Responsibilities
Must have a good understanding of and be able to follow the Alberta Childcare Licensing regulations as well as the Alberta Health & Safety guidelines
Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum focused on childhood development, literacy education, math, and physical education.
Plan and execute lesson plans that incorporate classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.
Provide attentive toddler care and support early intervention initiatives for children with special needs or developmental delays.
Manage classroom environments to ensure safety, engagement, and positive behavior among students.
Utilize communication skills to foster strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor progress and inform instructional strategies.
Incorporate diverse educational practices such as Montessori methods or preschool activities to enhance learning experiences.
Support child welfare by creating inclusive, respectful, and nurturing classroom settings aligned with childcare standards.
Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood education, classroom experience, tutoring techniques, and early childhood education best practices.
Must be flexible to work with all age groups
Candidate must have their own transportation
Experience
Minimum of 1 year Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings
Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management.
Experience with special education, early intervention programs, or literacy education is advantageous.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with students of diverse backgrounds are essential.
Minimum of three references, with at least two of those references that speak to your experience with children (previous supervisor/director/coworker)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $16.00-$18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
