We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Teacher to foster a positive learning environment for young children. Bilingual abilities, especially in English and French, as well as experience working with children with disabilities, are highly valued.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with educational standards and individual student needs.
Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
Engage children in educational activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
Monitor and assess each child's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians regularly.
Collaborate with colleagues and specialists to support children with special needs or disabilities.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, developmental milestones, and classroom activities.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress, behavior, and any concerns.
Manage classroom routines efficiently, including scheduling, transitions, and behavioral management.
Utilize computer skills for record keeping, lesson planning, and communication purposes.
Skills
Fluency in English; proficiency in French or other languages is a plus.
Strong childcare background with experience working with young children in educational settings.
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices.
Experience with special education or working with children with disabilities is preferred.
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and team members.
Organizational skills for managing classroom activities and documentation efficiently.
Time management skills to balance multiple responsibilities throughout the day.
