We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our team. This position involves working closely with children, parents, and staff to promote the social, emotional, and educational development of each child in our care.
Duties
Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
Assess children's progress and adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development and classroom activities.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience for all students.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and classroom activities.
Support children with special needs and disabilities through tailored educational strategies.
Foster bilingual communication skills by incorporating English and French into daily activities when applicable.
Utilize computer skills for administrative tasks, lesson planning, and communication.
Qualifications
certificate or diploma in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable sector
Valid 1st Aid
Experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting is essential.
Strong understanding of child development principles and early childhood education practices.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with children, parents, and staff.
Strong organizational skills to manage classroom activities and maintain records efficiently.
Leadership qualities to guide children in their learning journey while promoting teamwork among staff members.
Time management skills to balance multiple tasks effectively within the classroom environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.75-$28.53 per hour
