Job Description

The Family Centre is looking for a talented, dynamic, and compassionate team player to join our childcare team! We offer non-traditional licensed childcare options that support our community in meaningful ways, providing flexible occasional care for families needing respite, help during appointments, moments of self-care, or support while a loved one is away on deployment.

As part of our unique model of care, every day will bring something new. You'll work across three licensed classrooms, engaging with different groups of children whose needs and routines may vary from day to day. While you'll be part of a collaborative and supportive team, you must be confident and capable of managing a group of children independently within licensing ratios.

The ideal candidate is:

Adaptable and thrives in a dynamic environment

Patient, calm under pressure, and quick-thinking

Creative, able to plan engaging activities on the fly

Personable and able to build strong rapport with children and families

Flexible with availability, including evenings and weekends (you'll receive a general schedule in advance, though some changes may occur to support special events or evolving community needs).

A self-starter who works well with minimal supervision

Experience supporting children with diverse abilities and/or knowledge of military family life cycles is a strong asset. We believe that by caring for a family's needs, we're directly caring for their children--and that the service we provide helps ease the everyday burdens many families face.

If you're passionate about making a difference and excited by the opportunity to provide invaluable support to military and community families, we want to hear from you!
