Salary: $27.50 - $34.84 per hour
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, with flexible shifts

Plans, carries out, and evaluates developmentally appropriate activities and experiences for children, between the ages of 18 months to 3 years old, using modeling, observing, questioning, demonstrating, and reinforcing techniques.
Promote and support traditional cultural teachings and practices for children and families
Develops daily program schedules that include indoor/outdoor, active/quiet, and individual and group activities that meet programming standards.
Responsible for maintaining effective relationships with parents/caregivers and other stakeholders.
Involve the parents/caregivers in the decision-making process as it relates to the growth of his/her child at the Centre.
Attends to the children's physical needs (i.e. diapering, toileting, eating, and sleeping).
Administers first aid and medication in accordance with centre policy and procedures and licensing regulations.
Reports on progress, behaviours, and other issues related to children. Contributes to reports for children moving onto elementary school. Maintains required records and statistics.
Ensures all accidents / incidents are recorded and reported in a timely manner to the Child Care Manager
Performs other job related duties as directed
Required Education and Experience
Grade 12 diploma or equivalent secondary school completion.
Early Childhood Educator (ECE) certification.
Early Childhood Education - Infant/Toddler Educator (ITE)certification.
A minimum of 2 years of recent experience within a licensed childcare setting.
Clear Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check.
Valid Child Care First Aid with CPR Level B
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Sound understanding of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
Ability to engage with children in age-appropriate activities that stimulate learning and development.
Demonstrated evidence of strong communication skills (verbal, written and electronic formats and ability to work as part of team with colleagues, parents and children
Strong problem solving and organizational skills with the ability to work with minimal supervision Be creative and positive with a can-do attitude.
Be mature, responsible, and dependable.
Be flexible to work full-time (8hrs).
Complete ongoing professional development and maintain ECE certificate.
Working Conditions
Primarily work is performed in the Child Care Centre.
Immunization Declaration.
Interacting with members, including children, elders, and parents.
