Little Montessori Learning Community is a cluster of unlicensed daycares creating a tight community of families who value Montessori learning and creative exploration.
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educator for our Toddler class. In this role, you will be responsible for 5 toddlers in a classroom, creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters the growth and development of young children. You will engage with children in various activities that promote learning, creativity, and social skills, while also ensuring their safety and well-being. This position requires a strong commitment to early childhood education and the ability to work collaboratively with parents and staff. This is an immediate position.
Duties
Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and play.
Assess children's developmental progress and maintain accurate records of their growth.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
Collaborate with other educators to create an inclusive classroom environment for all children, including those with special needs.
Supervise children during activities to ensure safety and engagement.
Maintain a clean, organized classroom conducive to learning.
Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
Skills
Proficiency in English; knowledge of French is a plus.
Strong background in childcare, early childhood education, and teaching methodologies.
Knowledge in the Montessori Pedagogy is a must.
Experience working with children, particularly those with disabilities or special needs.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
Leadership qualities that inspire confidence in students and colleagues alike.
Familiarity with computer operation and basic computer skills for record keeping and lesson planning.
