Part-time (split shift)

Hours:

6:00-9:00 am/2:00-6:00pm (approx 4-6 hours daily)

Role Overview:

We are currently looking for a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our school age programing. This position involves working split shifts in order to support our before and after school programming.

Responsibilities:

Plan, develop and implement stimulating and developmentally appropriate programming and activities for children ages 6-12. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding the child's development and concerns. Adhere to Health and Safety procedures. Help integrate children with special needs into the programming by supporting inclusive practices. Support physical needs of the children. Ensure that all children's dietary and medical requirements are followed. Ensure, safe, clean and welcoming environment for children. Ensure compliance with all regulations and the CCEYA, licensing standards and centre policies.

Qualifications:

Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) or otherwise approved Clear Vulnerable Sector Check Valid Standard First Aid and CPR-C Post Secondary Education Proven ability to work independently and closely with other educators and caregivers. Well- developed skills in areas such as leadership, communication, organization, assessment and teamwork. Adequate energy levels and ability to meet the physical demands of the job. Knowledge of ECE theories including child development programs and evaluation. Knowledge of educational games, activities, and toys with the ability to implement the same and create a stimulating enriched environment for children at the centre. Experience with School age children is considered an asset. Ability to work split shifts (morning and afternoons)
