We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role requires excellent communication skills, classroom experience, and a passion for early childhood education. Bilingual abilities, especially in English and French, as well as experience working with children with disabilities, are highly valued. The teacher will collaborate with colleagues and parents to support each child's individual needs and ensure a positive learning experience.
Duties
Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote active learning and development
Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
Monitor and assess each child's progress, providing feedback to parents and team members
Support children with special needs or disabilities through tailored activities and accommodations
Maintain accurate records of attendance, developmental milestones, and behavioral observations
Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns
Collaborate with colleagues to plan educational activities and maintain classroom organization
Utilize computer skills for record keeping, lesson planning, and communication purposes
Manage classroom time efficiently to ensure all activities are completed within scheduled periods
Demonstrate leadership by guiding assistant teachers or interns when applicable
Requirements
Proven experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting
Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in French is a plus
Ability to work effectively with children with disabilities or special needs
Bilingual capabilities preferred to serve diverse communities
Classroom experience demonstrating organizational skills and classroom management abilities
Knowledge of computer operation for documentation and communication purposes
Strong writing skills for report writing and parent communication
Exceptional organizational skills and time management abilities
Demonstrated leadership qualities to guide classroom activities and team collaboration
Compassionate attitude with a genuine passion for early childhood development

Pay: $15.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
