We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team and foster a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. The ideal candidate will be passionate about early learning, developmentally appropriate practices, and working closely with families to support each child's growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, implement, and assess age-appropriate educational activities and curricula.
Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
Observe, document, and evaluate children's progress and behavior.
Collaborate with colleagues and families to support developmental goals.
Promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
Maintain compliance with licensing regulations and organizational policies.
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child's development and daily experiences.
Attend training sessions and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
Diploma in Early Childhood Education / Alberta Child Care Staff Certification (All Level)
Certification in CPR and First Aid
Police Information Check Certification with Vulnerable Sector Check
Previous experience working with children ages 0-6 in an educational setting.
Strong understanding of child development and early learning standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, creativity, and a nurturing attitude.
Working Conditions:
Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
May require sitting on the floor, bending, and engaging in physical activities with children.
