We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental milestones, and fostering a love for learning. This role requires excellent communication skills, classroom management abilities, and a strong understanding of early childhood education principles. Bilingual skills in English and French are highly desirable to enhance our diverse learning community.
Duties
Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development
Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment conducive to learning
Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and team members
Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication
Incorporate activities that support children with special needs or disabilities, ensuring an inclusive approach
Maintain accurate records of attendance, developmental milestones, and classroom activities
Utilize computer skills for record keeping, lesson planning, and communication purposes
Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement strategies
Collaborate with other educators and staff to plan curriculum enhancements and school events
Experience
Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is preferred
Knowledge of early childhood education best practices and developmental stages
Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is advantageous
Classroom experience demonstrating effective organizational and time management skills
Bilingual proficiency in English and French is a plus, supporting our diverse student body
Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members
Familiarity with computer operation for documentation, planning, and communication tasks
Leadership qualities to guide classroom activities and support team collaboration
Ability to demonstrate patience, creativity, and organizational skills necessary for managing a dynamic classroom environment
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $26.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 45 - 55 per week
