We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and childcare, with the ability to create a nurturing and engaging environment for young learners. Bilingual skills in English and French are highly desirable, along with experience working with children with disabilities. Responsibilities
Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate activities for young children in accordance with educational standards and curriculum guidelines
Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment that promotes social-emotional development
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to support children's progress and well-being
Assess individual children's needs and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily activities
Collaborate with team members to organize classroom routines, special events, and educational outings
Utilize computer skills for record keeping, lesson planning, and communication purposes
Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement techniques
Support children with special needs or disabilities by implementing tailored instructional strategies
Qualifications
Diploma in Child and Youth Care
Diploma in Early Childhood Educator.
Proven experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
Bilingual proficiency in English and French is preferred
Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities effectively
Demonstrated leadership abilities in managing classroom activities and guiding young learners
Proficiency in computer operation for documentation, lesson planning, and communication purposes
Classroom experience that reflects the ability to create engaging learning environments
Valid certification or qualification in early childhood education or related field is preferred
