Responsibilities



Create engaging lesson plans that incorporate hands-on activities, play-based learning, and age-appropriate instructional strategies. Manage classroom behavior effectively by employing positive reinforcement techniques and behavior management strategies to ensure a safe and respectful environment. Support children's social-emotional growth through active listening, conflict resolution, and fostering inclusive classroom interactions. Collaborate with families to communicate children's progress, address concerns, and provide guidance on early childhood education best practices. Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, lesson plans, and child welfare documentation in compliance with licensing requirements. Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, classroom management techniques, childcare practices, and curriculum updates. Facilitate activities that promote physical activity, literacy skills, numeracy understanding, and overall child welfare within the classroom setting.

Skills



Strong knowledge of childhood development theories and best practices in early childhood education. Proven classroom management skills to foster a positive learning environment conducive to growth and exploration. Ability to design engaging lessons that cater to toddlers' care needs as well as preschoolers' academic development. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with parents, colleagues, and community partners. Must be able to speak, write, comprehend, read and communicate in English at an intermediate level.

Must have a recent Police Check (within 6 months)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Casual

Pay: $15.00-$17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 40 per week
