Level 2 or Level 3 Certified educators only. Primary Worker In-Ratio Develop and implement child?care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, intellectual, emotional and social development of children Creating weekly and monthly lesson plans Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs and taking children to local points of interest, provide opportunities to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity Work in-ratio as needed Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits, potty training Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or Director Assess the abilities, interests and needs of children and discuss progress or challenges with parents and other staff members Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and wellbeing of children Assist the Director at planing, organizing, controlling the day to day operations of the child care facility Responsible for ensuring that all relevant legislative requirements are met with 100% compliance Assist the Director in selecting qualified staff and oversees staff development Ensure the site is ready for business with all necessary supplies and equipment Maintain enrolment expectations through on-going communication with all families, accurate administration, agency promotion and hosting open houses Assist Director at maintaining records relating to child care and the program Resolves parent complaints through excellence in customer service and adherence to Castleridge policies, employee and parent guidelines Accurately performs administrative tasks in a timely manner Perform scheduled clean up in classroom, common areas, bathrooms, outdoor play area, and kitchen. Performs other related assignments as required
