Summary
We are seeking a passionate Early Childhood Teacher to join our team in Burnaby. In this role, you will play a vital part in fostering a nurturing and educational environment for young children, contributing significantly to our mission of supporting families in our community.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement engaging curriculum tailored to the developmental needs of young children.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes learning.
- Monitor and assess children's progress, adapting teaching methods as necessary.
- Collaborate with families to support children's growth and development.
- Utilize effective behavior management techniques to foster positive interactions.
- Facilitate early intervention strategies for children with special needs.
- Maintain accurate records of children's development and classroom activities.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (required).
- Experience working with young children in an educational setting (required).
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles (required).
- Ability to develop age-appropriate lesson plans (required).
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children and families (preferred).
- Familiarity with special education practices (preferred).
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment (required).
- A passion for early childhood education and child welfare (required).
