We are looking for experienced and enthusiastic ECE to join our team.
Experience & Training Requirements
ECEAs will NOT be considered for this position
ECE, ECE I/T or ECE SN certificate (preference given to those with a 5 year ECE)
Clean criminal record check
Valid Emergency Childcare First Aid (or higher)
Minimum 2 years working as a full ECE in a licensed group facility in BC
Valid current food safe certificate (preferred)
Understand and be familiar with the ECE Competency Grid, Childcare Licensing Regulations and the Community Care and Assisted Living Act
Position Requirements
Able to work any shift from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm
Willing an able to rotate shifts with your classroom team
Shifts are 8 hours with a 1 hour unpaid break (7 paid hours), but may be extended during staff absences or on program and centre needs
Physical / Environment Requirements
Prolonged periods of standing
Sitting in child-sized chairs or on the floor
Frequent bending
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
Will be exposed to illness-causing bacteria and viruses
Compensation
$22.00 per hour plus wage enhancement ($6 per hour for ECE)
