We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing, engaging, and safe learning environment for young children. This role requires excellent communication skills, classroom management, and a strong understanding of early childhood education principles. Bilingual abilities in English and French are highly valued, especially for programs serving diverse communities. The Early Childhood Teacher will play a vital role in fostering children's development and supporting their educational journey from infancy through preschool age.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development
Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages learning and exploration
Monitor and assess each child's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians
Collaborate with colleagues to plan activities and ensure curriculum consistency
Maintain accurate records of attendance, developmental milestones, and behavioral observations
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to support children's needs
Incorporate special education strategies when working with children with disabilities or additional needs
Use computer skills for documentation, communication, and educational activities
Uphold health and safety standards in compliance with licensing regulations
Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with early childhood education best practices
Experience
Prior experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is preferred
Knowledge of early childhood education frameworks and developmental stages
Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
Bilingual proficiency in English and French is highly desirable
Demonstrated classroom experience with effective classroom management skills
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and team members
Organizational skills for managing lesson plans, records, and daily routines
Leadership qualities to guide young learners and support team collaboration
Computer operation skills for documentation, planning tools, and communication platforms
