Position Overview
We are seeking a caring, motivated, and dedicated
Early Childhood Educator (ECE)
to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about child development, committed to best practices in early learning, and eager to contribute to a supportive, inclusive environment for children and families.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities for children aged 0-6.
Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
Observe, document, and assess children's progress.
Support children's emotional, social, physical, and cognitive growth.
Communicate effectively with families, caregivers, and colleagues.
Follow licensing requirements, health and safety standards, and organizational policies.
Collaborate with the team to create culturally responsive and accessible programming.
Qualifications
Valid
ECE certification
(ECE, ECEA, or equivalent based on provincial requirements).
Current
First Aid & CPR Level C
certification (or willingness to obtain).
Clear
Criminal Record Check
with Vulnerable Sector Screening.
Strong understanding of child development and play-based learning.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Experience working with diverse families and children with varying needs (an asset).
Assets (Optional but Preferred)
Experience in inclusive or special-needs settings.
Additional training in ASL, behaviour support, trauma-informed care, or early intervention.
Ability to support cultural and linguistic diversity.
